The Brain Tumour Charity – Silas Pullen Fund – Raising Awareness

Please help to spread the Word and raise awareness…

The Silas Pullen Fund was set up under the umbrella of The Brain Tumour Charity in 2014, by a local family, in memory of their son Silas, who died from a brain tumour aged 11. And one of the objectives of the Silas Pullen Fund is to raise public awareness of paediatric brain tumours through its “Itisanobrainer” campaign of bandana’ing well known personalities.

Brain tumours are currently the biggest cancer killer of children and young people yet receive very little funding (less than 2% of national cancer spend) and have few treatment options. For the type of tumour Silas suffered, the standard treatment adds only 2 months to life expectancy. This needs to change.

The Brain Tumour Charity and the Silas Pullen Fund want to change this and have set ambitious targets to double survival rates over the next 10 years and halve the harm. The Silas Pullen Fund specifically aims to drive clinical research and trials into paediatric brain tumours.
